Connecting rural farming communities directly with regional wholesale hubs is a cornerstone of economic resilience. In Torbeck, municipal engineers and local community councils have completed initial topographic surveys for the agricultural bypass route.

By smoothing steep grade transitions and reinforcing stormwater runoff gullies, the route will prevent seasonal washouts during the hurricane season.

“When the road is reliable, our produce reaches the morning market fresh and sells at fair prices.” — Jean-Baptiste, Farmer Association Leader
